The Cornish Bottle Archive (founded in 2023) was established to document all known, found and collected Cornish bottles, to share with the community. This is an ambitious three year project and will culminate in a 50 year anniversary exhibition in 2026. The last full scale bottle exhibition in Cornwall was hosted in Truro in 1976.

We have trialed researching the first town, Redruth, which you can view on the archive. From now on, we will be collecting images and researching all Cornish known, found and collected bottles dating up to 1939 which include flagons, beer bottles, ginger beer bottles, Codd bottles, medicine bottles, pot lids, syphons etc.
We need your help to tell Cornwall’s history through bottles. Let’s discover, preserve and record our local history. We would like to hear from you.
